The Final Girls are a UK-based film collective exploring the intersections of horror film and feminism.

In this episode, we dive into the different versions of Sleeping Beauty's main antagonist, Maleficent and her evolution from the Disney animated feature to the live-action spin off that gives the villainess a profound backstory. Anna is joined by film critic and broadcaster Rhianna Dhillon to dissect their first impressions of Maleficent, her campiness, Angelina Jolie's performance, and how the live-action Maleficent subverts a witchy stereotype.
